On October 25th, 2025 7th International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Developmentwas held at Zhengzhou University. Wang Liguo, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Zhengzhou University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 10 renowned experts and scholars from universities across the world, including those from China, Russia, South Korea, Italy and the United Kingdom, gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on the cutting-edge topics in the fields of literature, art and humanities, contributing their wisdom and strength to the global development of humanities and arts. Representatives from over 10 universities in Henan Province and 80 teachers attended the conference. The responsible person from the School of Fine Arts of Zhengzhou University presided over the opening ceremony.
Wang Liguo pointed out that literature and art are important carriers of human civilization, and the development of humanities is the spiritual core of social progress. As a "Double First-Class" university in the country, Zhengzhou University attaches great importance to the construction of humanities and social science disciplines. During the just-concluded final stage of the International College Students' Innovation Competition, the School of Fine Arts focused on cultural inheritance and innovation, hosting activities such as the "Central Plains Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center" and the "Promoting the Spirit of Educators" art exhibition, achieving good results and promoting the transformation of new liberal arts practice. This conference aims to build an international academic cooperation platform, promote the integration of new liberal arts, and facilitate exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. The university will use the conference as a link to deepen academic collaboration at home and abroad and contribute to the development of humanities and social sciences.
At the opening ceremony, Huang Xinyuan was appointed as a Distinguished Lecturer at Zhengzhou University, and Wang Liguo presented the appointment letter to Huang Xinyuan.
The main report session of the conference was chaired by Shi Pin, the president of Zhengzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and scholars from both China and abroad discussed topics such as the internationalization of art education, cross-cultural communication mechanisms, the dynamic inheritance of cultural heritage, design art innovation, and the international expression of Chinese style. They analyzed the new challenges and opportunities in the development of humanistic art under the backdrop of globalization and put forward viewpoints that combine theoretical depth with practical value. During the conference, a parallel forum titled "Report by Young Scholars" was also held. Young teachers, doctoral students, and master's students from over 30 universities across the country shared their research results on themes such as design education reform and design innovation practice, fully demonstrating the innovative vitality and exploration spirit of the young academic community in the field of humanistic art.
It is reported that the ICLAHD series of conferences have been held for seven consecutive years. They have always been aimed at "promoting innovation in humanities and arts and facilitating mutual learning among civilizations". This is an influential academic exchange platform in the field of humanities and arts worldwide. This conference is hosted by Zhengzhou University and organized by the School of Fine Arts of Zhengzhou University, etc. Its aim is to further promote the spread of Central Plains culture and Chinese culture to the world, and enhance the dissemination power and influence of Chinese civilization.
