Pearl Hong Chen is a Chinese travel writer and the founder of the Hong Chen International Writing Camp.
She was editor-in-chief of magazines for ten years and a senior visiting scholar for one year at St. Cloud State University in the USA. Currently she is a professor at School of Literature and Journalism of Chongqing Technology and Business University, and a tutor of master’s degree candidates.
Pearl Hong Chen has published a “Culture Journey of Travel Literature” series, accounts of on her exploring experiences to various places on the earth.
Among them are: On the Road:Stories in American Universities, Fragrance of Nepal, Yoga Code in the Holy Land of India, Across Paradisal Tibet, Across Paradisal Xinjiang, Himalayan Quest, Incense for Buddha,and Everest Drummer.
Across Paradisal Tibet is one of the most appreciated books for travelers. Himalayan Quest was listed in China’s Top 100 Lifestyle Good Readings 2014, and its English version is to be published by ACA Publishing Ltd in the UK in 2020. Incense for Buddha was awarded the title of ‘Excellent Book’ from Dangdang, a popular online book seller in China. Everest Drummer is included in the list of Good Readings by Learning Power in 2020.
